What is "www.FUN-FOR-DOGS.com" ?

As you might have already realised www.FUN-FOR-DOGS.com is originally a German internet projekt, called www.SPASS-MIT-HUND.de (which means nothing else than "fun-for-dogs"). The idea behind SPASS-MIT-HUND / FUN-FOR-DOGS:

Our aim is...

to promote kind and dog-friendly training-methods, based on positive reinforcement,
to spread current, up-to-date knowledge about dog-behaviour und dog-training
and - which is our clear main-point meanwhile (and probably the reason why you are here) - to provide and collect ideas of dog-activities und dog-games which you can play together with your dogs: to occupy them, to stimulate them mentally, to enrich their lives, to spend quality-time with them - and to boost the realtionship between you and your dog.

...and who's behind it ?

We're two dog-loving people, Christina Sondermann and Christoph Henke, living together with our two dogs: Birte, Beagle-girl, born in about 2001, and Coda, Border Collie, born in 1999. If you want to see our pictures, look here. We have started our internet-project in the year 2001 - and we are extremely happy that since then we have met many people who feel the same about dogs as we do: who care about a good relationship between humans and dogs and who promote kind and humane training methods ... and who persistently inspire us with their creative ideas, invent smart games for clever dogs and let us know about them. Our web site would be nothing without those great people.

Games ... games ... games - a little guide through our website

We have specialized in simple and smart games which dogs (and handlers) of all abilities and ages can play; mostly self-made things which you can play without expensive equipment.

As nobody has invented the 36-hours-day yet we probably will never ever find the time to translate our whole website. Inspite of this, we want to provide some information for you - at least a little guide through our web site. Even if you can't understand the written words - enjoy the pictures and let them inspire you!

"Playtime for your Dog" - a lot of ideas in a book

If you want to get even more ideas, more pictures and more background-information maybe our book may be of interest for you. We're happy that our "Das große Spielebuch für Hunde" has been translated in six languages meanwhile: French, Spanish, Italian, Norwegian, Danish - and of course English. "Playtime for your dog" is a compilation of smart und simple dog games to brighten your dog's everyday life. Maybe some of you have already read the book - und you are here now because of this?
